For 1996/1997 Ford and 1997+ Buick Park Avenue:
Duplicating: Place original key in ignition and turn to 'on' position. On
some models a theft security light should turn on. Wait a few seconds until
light turns off. Remove original key and insert new duplicate transponder
key. (Removal of original and insertion of duplicate must be done within
10 seconds). Theft security light will turn on for a few seconds. When light
turns off, duplicate key is programmed. Price $35.00 or
more.
Originating: Make an operating transponder key by code or fitting. Insert
new transponder key in ignition and turn to 'on' position. Theft security
light will stay on for 10-15 minutes. (Some models may use a flashing light.)
When theft security light turns off, turn new transponder key to 'off' position.
Repeat this procedure two more times. (Each cycle must be started within
5 minutes after theft security light turns off.) After third cycle, new key
will operate vehicle. Any keys which formerly operated the ignition will
now be inoperative.

with the vehicle. A special learning key (red head) is also given to each
owner. Duplication requires all existing keys plus the learning key. A special
tester unit must be used. Adding a duplicate transponder key code also erases

Duplicating: Master key operates all vehicle locks. Ilco New Era Machine
can be used to read transponder information from original transponder key.
Information can then be transferred to new duplicate key.
The Equipment needed to duplicate this key costs several hundred dollars
and can be used for nothing else, if your Locksmiths invests in this equipment
I would expect the price per duplicate to be at least

1998 Chrysler LHS, Jeep Wrangler, Eagle Vision, Chrysler Sebring
Convertible:
Duplicating: A "customer learn" system can be used to program duplicate
transponder key. Two original keys must be present. Insert the first original
key into ignition lock and turn to 'on' position. Leave key in 'on' position
for more than 3 seconds and less than 15 seconds. Remove first original key.
Within 15 seconds, insert a different original key into ignition lock. Leave
the key in 'on' position for 10 seconds. A chime will sound and a Sentry
indicator light will flash on the instrument panel indicating system is in
learning mode. The learning mode will remain 'on' for 60 seconds. Remove
the second original key. Insert new duplicate key and turn to 'on' position.
Chime will sound (after 3-10 seconds), when new key is successfully
programmed.
Price? $35.00 minimum
If only one original key is available, or if keys are lost, programming requires
a "PIN" number which must be entered into a tester unit(#DRB III). The PIN
number and tester unit are only available to a Chrysler dealer. This is a
dealer-only procedure at this time.

1998 Ford vehicles (mid-year change, some early 1998 models are still using
the 1997 Ford program system A):
Duplicating: Two original keys must be present. Duplicate correct cuts on
a new Transponder key. Insert first original key into ignition lock and turn
to 'on' position for at least one second. Remove first key from ignition
lock. Within 5 seconds, insert a second, different original key into ignition
lock and turn to 'on' position for at least one second. Remove second original
key from ignition lock. Within 10 seconds, insert the the new duplicate key
into lock. Turn new key to 'on' position for at least one second. Repeat
entire sequence if additional new duplicate keys are being programmed. A
maximum of 8 total keys can operate these vehicles.
Price? $35.00 minimum
If only one original key is available, or if keys are lost programming requires
a New Generation Star Tester(NGS). The tester is only available at a Ford
dealer. Dealer-only procedure at this time.

1998 Toyota Camry LE/XLE, Avalon XLS:
Duplicating: Simultaneously depress and release brake ans accelerator pedals 1 time.
Insert original master key into ignition lock. Depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times. Depress and release brake pedal 6 times. Remove original master key from ignition. Insert new duplicate key into ignition lock. Depress and release accelerator pedal 1 time. After 60 seconds, security indicator light will turn off indicating new key is programmed.
Remove new key, press brake pedal once to complete registration mode.

Originating: If keys are lost, a new ECM
module must be
installed. After installation, insert a new transponder
key into ignition. Security indicator light will turn 'on'. When security
indicator light turns off, new key is registered. Only 4 keys
can be registered for your vehicle.
